Mike Peterson has been obsessed with technology since his parents bought him his first Atari game system in the early 1980’s and he has been involved with the world of "computers" ever since.

Mike currently teaches Media Production (Eagle Eye Broadcasting), Digital Media, Digital Design, 8th Grade Technology, Computer Science Principles, and Accounting at O’Neill High School, where he has been since 1998. Prior to coming to O’Neill, Mike had teaching jobs in Alliance, Long Beach, California and San Simon, Arizona. He has seen the growth of computers from teaching with a Radio Shack TRS-80 computer that loaded programs with a cassette tape to working in a school system where EVERY student receives their own laptop to use 24/7.

Mike currently is the owner of Above The Garage Studios Web Design and Photography in O’Neill in which he has designed and maintains many web sites in the O’Neill area and is an avid photographer. His work can be seen at www.AboveTheGarageStudios.com.

Mike graduated from Western New Mexico University with a B.S. in Business Education and received his Master’s Degree from Doane University in Curriculum and Instruction.

Mike and his wife, Liz, have three children; Stefani who lives and works in O'Neill, Jordan who is currently a piano bar entertainer in Florida, and Connor, who is Assistant Vice-President of the First Bank and Trust in Minden, NE.
